''I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour.'' If you believe Jesus is your saviour you have no choice but to accept that he is God because this verse says that the only saviour is God. *

A man throws a lifeline at the one who is drowning. They take hold of it. And are pulled to safety and are saved. The lifeline is a saving instrument. So it is their saviour... Provided by the one who uses it to rescue them. Thereby he is their saviour in doing so. Jehovah is saviour by sending His Son. Jesus is saviour by obeying his Father and giving up his life to save. *
